CARE GUIDE
Tougher than they 1st appear — stylish ‘n’ sweet doesn’t mean weak
Wanderlost & Found bags are built to last, but they’re not invincible. They will experience normal wear over time. Here are some tips to keep your new tote/beach bag looking fresh and vibrant for as long as possible:
Washing
Machine wash cold, inside-out and on a gentle cycle with mild detergent and similar colours
High-temperature washes can fade the print
Use non-chlorine bleach, and only when necessary
Do not use fabric softeners
Drying
Tumble dry low if you must, but hang-dry for longest life
A high-temperature dryer setting can shrink the bag and damage the print. Cool iron inside-out if necessary
Never hot iron
Do not dry clean

Our bags are made from 100% spun polyester — a durable weave fabric that’s soft as cotton and wrinkle resistant. The handles are 100% cotton bull denim—a twill weave that’s soft but tough.
WON’T GET WASHED OUT
Our sublimation printing technique disintegrates inks into fabric. This makes the inks last longer.Machine wash to your heart’s content. You’ll never see the unfortunate “peeling” of a well-worn, screen printed t-shirt.

Our genuine Brother GT-3 water-based inks are CPSIA compliant and Oeko-Tex™ certified. They’re rich, stable, water-based, child safe and eco-friendly, without compromising depth or luminosity.

What materials are your totes made of?
Our tote bags with photo realistic designs are made from 100% spun polyester—a durable weave fabric that feels as soft as cotton, but is wrinkle resistant and can be machine washed to your heart’s content. The handles are 100% natural cotton bull denim—a twill weave cotton fabric that’s soft but tough.
Where are your tote bags produced?
Every Wanderlost & Found tote bag featuring photo realistic designs are printed, precision cut and sewn by hand at our locations in the USA or EU.
What size are your tote bags?
Our tote bags with photographic prints are 15″ x 15″ (38.1cm x 38.1cm).
The handle length is 11.8″ (30 cm) and they’re 1″ wide (2.5cm).
How strong are your tote bags?
Our tote bags prints can hold up to 33lbs (15kg). So you can fill them with groceries, books, your laptop, bottles of water or wine… even a jumbo crystal ball stuffed with parallel realities.
Are the tote bags printed on both sides?
Our tote bags with photographic designs are printed on the front and back using a sublimation printing technique. That means every inch of these tote bags are covered in graphics that are clear, sharp and luminous.
How durable are the prints on these totes?
Our experience shows us that our Direct To Garment (DTG) printed totes are just as durable as our screen printed tote when it comes to their wearability over time.The DTG sublimation technique we use means those bags are more easily machine washable than tour screen printed bags, but they’re both built to last. If you follow our care instructions then our screen printed tote and DTG printed totes will stay looking bold and crisp for a long time to come.
How do you print photographic images on these bags?
Our standard process is the Direct to Garment (DTG) method of printing. We use Kornit and Brother GT 381 printers for all DTG printed products. Our DTG process uses a sublimation printing technique. It delivers optimal results when printing photographic images on fabric, ensuring the clarity and luminosity of each bag we produce.
We only use Genuine Brother GT-3, water-based pigment inks to print on our tote bags. These inks are eco-friendly, CPSIA compliant and Oeko-Tex™ certified. That means they’re safe for kids and reduce environmental waste, without compromising on depth and luminosity. They’re stable, too: GT-3 inks provide a high washing colourfast AATCC rating of 4.
