PILLOWS

1. CARE GUIDE

Wanderlost & Found pillows are built to last, but they’re not invincible. They will experience normal wear over time.

Here are some tips to keep your new pillow looking fresh and vibrant for as long as possible:

Washing

Machine wash cold, inside-out and on a gentle cycle with mild detergent and similar colours

High-temperature washes can fade the print

Use non-chlorine bleach, and only when necessary

Do not use fabric softeners

Drying

Tumble dry low if you must, but hang-dry for longest life

A high-temperature dryer setting can shrink the bag and damage the print.

Cool iron inside-out if necessary

Never hot iron

Do not dry clean

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What materials are your pillows made of?

Our pillowcases are made of 100% polylinen, which has a similar texture to finely woven linen — just as soft but much more durable. They also have a non-toxic coating that repels moisture. The pillow inserts are made of a polyester blend that retains its shape longer than traditional inserts.

Where are your pillows produced?

All Wanderlost & Found pillows are printed, cut, and hand-sewn at fair wage crafter’s workshops in the USA and EU.

What size pillows do you have available?

Our pillows are available in three sizes:

• Rectangular: 12×20″ (30.5×50.8cm)

• Square: 18×18″ (45.7×45.7cm)

Are the pillows printed on both sides?

Our pillows are printed on the front and back using a sublimation printing technique. That means every inch of these pillow covers are printed with graphics that are clear, sharp and luminous.

What inks do we use and are they safe?

Our pillows are created with the latest in garment printing technology. We use genuine Brother GT-3, water based pigment inks that are eco-friendly. GT-3 inks are CPSIA compliant and Oeko-Tex™ certified, which means they are safe to print on youth/children’s clothing and reduce environmental waste. Also, GT-3 inks provide a high washing colorfast AATCC rating of 4. All this makes the feel much softer than traditional screen printed products, but just as durable.

How do you print photographic images on pillows?

Our standard process is the Direct to Garment (DTG) method of printing. We use Kornit and Brother GT 381 printers for all DTG printed products. Our DTG process uses a sublimation printing technique. It delivers optimal results when printing photographic images on fabric, ensuring the clarity and luminosity of each pillow we produce.

How durable are prints on pillows?

Our experience shows us that our Direct To Garment (DTG) printed pillow cases are just as durable as screen printed pillow covers when it comes to their wearability over time. The DTG sublimation technique we use means those bags are more easily machine washable than tour screen printed bags, but they’re both built to last. If you follow our care instructions then our screen printed tote and DTG printed totes will stay looking bold and crisp for a long time to come.
