KAZI only uses responsibly harvested local materials like raffia, elephant grass and sisal. Every color you see is drawn from organic natural dyes. This eco-protective process brings organic living at home, and peace of mind at heart.
Early on in their careers, KAZI's weavers learn how to grow and harvest their own materials. Once they advance their weaving skills, they can employ people in their communities to help harvest the fibers. It is part of KAZI's business model to teach artisans accountability in the supply chain, empowering them to be independent.

Purposeful Production
Global artisan work is notoriously unregulated, underserved, and unprotected. KAZI is currently one of only five companies to carry the Nest Seal of Ethical Handcraft on their treasures — the highest standards for assessing artisan homeworker production and supply chains. So when you purchase this treasure, you can feel good knowing everything is ethically made in a home or small workshop.
KAZI also have a process that brings artisan representatives to the table to negotiate fairly for their time and energy.
